Well, the point is that your original bug description was too vague to figure
out what you really wanted -- the analog loopback, not about recording. Please
give more detailed description at the next time.
OK, for now, an easy option would be the following:
- Remove model=auto again; the auto-parser mode won't give the analog loopback
- Run "alsamixer -c0"; this will skip the PulseAudio and give you the driver
control directly
- In alsamixer "Play" view (the first screen), you should see "Line" entry; use
left/right cursor keys to choose. Then raise the volume via up/down key and
unmute it via 'M' key. Escape key to quit alsamixer.
That's all. Now the line-in analog-loopback should be activated. If not, get
alsa-info.sh output and attach (not paste!) at this state.
