https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695622 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695622#c0 Summary: qemu-kvm doesn't boot kernels specified by -kernel after update Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jslaby@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: brogers@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- qemu-kvm -kernel my/arch/x86/boot/bzImage -append 'root=/dev/sda1 rw 3' suse-fact.img doesn't work with kvm-0.14.0.0-1.6.1. According to strace, it opens the image, reads many bytes and closes it. Then qemu shows grub from suse-fact.img. Downgrade by zypper in --force kvm-0.14.0.0-1.4.1 fixes that. The host runs 2.6.39 from kernel:stable. I want the guest to run 2.6.39-rc7-mm1. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
