https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695383 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695383#c0 Summary: Motif applications distort the desktop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bartoschek@or.uni-bonn.de QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=430790) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=430790) Screenshot showing the problem User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.6; Linux) KHTML/4.6.0 (like Gecko) SUSE Starting with Opensuse 11.4 applications that use Motif cannot be resized to fullscreen or near fullscreen without causing severe distortions with the graphics. I have a notebook with a "ATI Radeon Mobility X300 (M22) 5460 (PCIE)" (ChipID = 0x5460) card. The internal display is at 1400x1050 however I use it on an external display with 1920x1200. There is a first problem that Xorg does not start with 1920x1200 when the lid is closed and only the external display visible. The system is fully updated as of May 23rd 2011. The problem does not appear with Qt applications. GTK behaves well most of the time. But sometimes I see probelms with GTK apps. With Motif it is reproducible all the time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start application resize it and move it around. 2. 3. Actual Results: Distorted display Expected Results: Normal display The attachment shows the problem. You see that parts of the programm are drawn outside of the window. Some parts are drawn twice with an offset. Parts of the thunderbird window are shown on top of the application. The systray is overdrawn by parts of the taskbar. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
