I'm not really sure if that fits with the design, nevertheless that's something
that makes more sense to present to upstream.
They refused in the past the solution that Canonical provided for Ubuntu, which
I did implemented and works somehow. But this will bring aditional problems in
the future, for example:
* Firefox will require much work to comply;
* Chrome/Chrome have not menu's at all;
* XUL/Java based stuff is a nightmare...
If such feature isn't implemented upstream (maybe GTK?), it will end up in a
nightmare to maintain it. How would I know? GNOME:Ayatana, where I implemented
the features from Canonical.
