https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693638 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693638#c0 Summary: Impossible to configure option "Color" for oki C6550 printer Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 When configuring the oki6550 printer, it defaults to monochrome. When you access all options of the printer configuration there is a selection box "Color". However, you can't choose it - in the very moment you try to choose, you quit the dialog and it remains monochrome. Please take a look onto the figure I attached with this report. Please note, I manually entered "Color" into the corresponding line in /etc/cups/ppd/C5650.ppd, so the problem in the screenshot looks vice versa. Please check why the clicking of the checkbox does not work. You are always pushed back into the default "monochrome" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: install oki 6550 and try to switch to color mode Actual Results: Black and white is unchangeable (monochrome). You are forced to edit /etc/cups/ppd/<PRINTERNAME> manually. Expected Results: Guess what :-) Again: the picture attached depicts the inverted situation (color option "frozen") because I edited the ppd - file manually in order to achieve color printing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
