https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691055 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691055#c0 Summary: Minimal in Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Patterns AssignedTo: coolo@novell.com ReportedBy: p.heinlein@heinlein-support.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I installed a minimal system without GUI. Nothing special, just standard. Later on I tried to install pacemaker/heartbeat on that system and detected, that it's not possible to install phython any more because of its conflicts with patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base. test03:~ # zypper in pacemaker Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies... Problem: pacemaker-1.1.5-3.2.x86_64 requires /usr/bin/python, but this requirement cannot be provided uninstallable providers: python-base-2.7-8.4.x86_64[openSUSE-11.4-11.4-0] python-base-2.7-8.4.i586[repo-oss] python-base-2.7-8.4.x86_64[repo-oss] Solution 1: deinstallation of patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base-11.4-6.9.1.x86_64 Solution 2: do not install pacemaker-1.1.5-3.2.x86_64 Solution 3: break pacemaker by ignoring some of its dependencies patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base excludes python. Why? It's not usable to deinstall patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base, because then many of X and KDE-packages are sleected automatically. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
