[Bug 669307] System hangs when started in Normal (ie. not failsafe) mode.

Yes the problem does repeat with "nomodeset". One thing that is interesting is
that the machine only crashes when there are many webpages or a significant
number of webtabs opened. It is not running out of normal RAM with 700MB still
remaining (this was tested by rebooting into Failsafe mode with the same tab
set open.)

The only difference between the normal boot and the Failsafe boot are the
parameters on the boot commandline. Which others are likely to cause the
problem?
