I'm still not sure why this happened. I checked the kernel in your original logs, it's 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop - which is exactly what was shipped with 11.4 on the installation media. So it didn't get replaced by any maintenance update. But according to the original report everything worked fine after the installation. Now the kernel was updated to 2.6.37-6 and everything works fine again. I'm really at a loss where I should start searching to find an issue with a kernel that worked fine at the beginning but broke due to the installation of an unspecified set of maintenance updates while now - after the update to a newer kernel - everything is back to normal again. It appears that the crash happens in the shutdown routine of the main loop in main() in dix/main.c (FreeAllResources()). I don't understand why the Xserver shuts down in the first place anyhow. Furthermore the log message regarding the broken EDID also exists in the log of 2.6.37-6. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
