I _think_ besides the fact that the cache invalidation seems to fail for
certain (not yet analyzed) reasons it works as designed.
Firefox allows to have addons installed multiple times within different system
locations and uses a certain order what to pull in.
In your case /usr/lib/firefox/extensions had higher priority as
/usr/share/mozilla. So what would actually a feature request would be that if
the higher priority addon is not compatible it should go on and check the
others?
