ok, so the code which calls the filechooser is prepared for allowing remote
URIs if the caller method applies a filter to allow URLs. But actually no
caller within Firefox does that AFAICS. There might be a reason (or not).
I've found an upstream report and added some stuff there. I think this involves
a bit more than just enabling the filechooser to make sure Firefox can handle
uris internally in those cases.
