If you look at freetype2.spec then you will notice that it is actually
disabled:
%define enable_subpixel_rendering 0
%if %{enable_subpixel_rendering}
%patch200 -p 1 -b .subpixel
%endif
Moreover there will be no community package accroding to
http://opensuse-community.org/1-click-collection
So I'm wondering what does this means "The Freetype in openSUSE 11.4 supports
sub-pixel rendering, bringing much crisper fonts to LCD screens." from
http://en.opensuse.org/Product_highlights when there is no way to enable it
