https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=675923 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=675923#c0 Summary: kiwi error when '$' character in repository URL Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: VMWare OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: niall.mcelwain@emc.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/9.0.597.98 Safari/534.13 When a repo has a '$' character in the URL, kiwi's parser incorrectly escapes the character. e.g. http://example-host.com/sles/repo/$RCE/SLES11-SP1-Updates/sle-11-i586/ gets translated to http://example-host.com/sles/repo/\$RCE/SLES11-SP1-Updates/sle-11-i586/ when zypper addrepo is called. This causes a failure to find the file /repodata/repomd.xml. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use any kiwi example. Add a repo to the config.xml file that has a '$' character in the URL. 2. Run kiwi prepare step 3. Observe errors on console Actual Results: Fails to find file /repodata/repomd.xml file. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
