pci=nocrs makes the "stuck in hourglass" problem worse on the default kernel
in fact it acts like the system is running but not updating the display (other
than the revolving cursor) except when I switch to console and back.
pci=nocrs does not seem to have any effect on xen kernel.
The randomness of time between "hangs" makes it hard to tell if they are
affected or just not happening at the moment. But has not happened since I
filed report.
by "hang" i mean:
no kbd led blink
black screen, but backlight on
sysrq has no effect
no hdd activity led indication
power/indicator lights stay the same
fans continue to run at same speed.
FYI the compiz crashing bug I posted seperately seems to be unaffected by the
kernel parameter change.
