grep is working now indeed. My guess is because it now exclusively uses
glibc routines to do the matching (since commit 2c817e28). But my glibc
testcase (comment #24) still shows a problem in glibc itself:
% LC_COLLATE=POSIX ./tmp/regex-test
p <=> A: 47
p <=> Z: 22
Okay
% LC_COLLATE=en_US.UTF-8 ./tmp/regex-test
p <=> A: 15
p <=> Z: -10
Bad
That is, we still have an inconsistency between wcscoll and regmatching.
Petr: do you want a new bug for that, or shall we continue with this one
(I'm tentatively reopening this one, please close it again if you want
a new one).
