(rev 01) In 11.3 on this hardware, xorg.conf/xorg.conf.d/ (subject to bug 661536) are obeyed, and modes up to 2048x1536 as specified by xorg.conf work as expected. But in RC1 (and for past several months IIRC) even though automagic Xorg identifies the video chip correctly, FBDEV claims the device, which means video is limited to 1024x768 instead of modes up to 2048x1536 supported by the hardware. http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2011-February/052478.html Current xorg.conf: Section "ServerFlags" Option "ZapWarning" "off" Option "DontZap" "off" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor[0]" HorizSync 30-107 Option "DPMS" "off" VertRefresh 56-61 DisplaySize 338 253 # 120 DPI @ 1600x1200 Option "PreferredMode" "1600x1200" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "device[0]" VendorName "Intel Corporation" BoardName "Intel 810 and later" Driver "intel" Option "DPMS" Option "NoDDC" EndSection -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
