Unfortunately I was wrong - the hangs continued to appear the next day as they
did before. Also I have received the same hang even with kernel booted with
nomodeset option - started to write 800mb meego image to the flash drive with
dd command - desktop hanged after few seconds, though the music continued to
play in the headphones.
After reboot cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old gives same messages:

So, this issue is not related only to KMS, though when KMS is disabled, the
probability to catch it is really much lower.
