XDitView, as invoked from Groffer, does not show occurrences of the tilde
character.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. { groffer -TX100 ls; }

Actual Results:  
  1. do not list implied entries ending with 

Expected Results:  
  1. do not list implied entries ending with ~

Note: the default { groffer ls; } does show the tilde character but it is
unreadable because lines of text overlap (the glyphs used are too large).
Workaround: { groffer -Tps ls; }, requires GV.
