Paul, the problem with corrupted files sounds serious and we should fix it with
higher priority. Could you please open separate bug for this, describe there
the steps to reproduce, attach there a sample file, and assign the bug to
kyoshida@novell.com?
Regarding the LO packages. They obsoleted OOo pakcages. We always had many
patches on top of the plain OOo sources. After LO forked from OOo, we started
to use LO as the base. We do not plan to maintain the OOo packages in parallel.
So, LO packages are the future and we believe that they will be better than
OOo.
Plain LO-3.3 sources are nearly stable (rc3). Unfortunately, we still apply
some patches on top of them and they are not that tested at this stage. Your
export problem is most likely caused by the extra patches. AFAIK, nobody
reported it yet, so we were not aware of the bug. we will do our best to fix
them soon.
These days, you might get LibreOffice packages from the LibreOffice:Unstable
and openSUSE:Factory repositories. There are both unstable be definition, so
you must expect bugs there. Please, report such bugs, to help us to make the
packages stable for the final release.
If you want something really stable, you need to use just the stable
repositories, e.g. openSUSE-11.3, OpenOffice.org:STABLE. They do not provide LO
at this point.
You are right, regarding the LanguageTool package. I have to fix it to work
with LibreOffice in the LibreOffice:Unstable and openSUSE:Factory repositories.
