discusses the very same bug. It appears to be a bug in the kernel's SCSI
passthrough, triggered by udev-165 using an additional SCSI command.
Tests with today's openSUSE-GNOME-LiveCD-i686-Build0988-Media.iso on KVM had it
failing in 15 of 20 tries. nohz=off is not required for that.
