https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=662172 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=662172#c0 Summary: Device Notifier no longer automounts USB Passport external disk drive Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: marc@marcchamberlin.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 This use to work fine, but apparently something in the latest updates I did broke the ability of KDE's device handler/notifier to detect when I plug in my USB Passport drive and automount it under /media. I do have the selections under Automounting - Enable automatic mounting of removable media and Automatically mount removable media when attached both checked. Since the drive is labled My Passport I have also tried to check it in the list for Device Overrides - Automount on Attach lsusb does report the drive when plugged in. I can manually automount the drive but that is an unsatisfactory solution for my wife! Using version 4.5.90 (4.6 RC1) of KDE. openSuSE 11.2 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plug in a USB Passport drive 2. 3. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: I expect it to detect the drive and automount it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
