well, the warning comes from parsing the gcc output, and if gcc gives that
warning then it means this function has not been properly declared. From here
on without reading the exact source code (and probably running gcc with
--save-temps or such) I can only guess: there is some define like _UNISTD_H
that keeps the inclusion of unistd.h from working, or configure does not even
set HAVE_UNISTD_H probably from an outdated config.h.in or such.
in short: this is just a verbose repetation of the gcc warning, and unless you
are hitting a really strange gcc bug, then the warning is correct.
