https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=659943 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=659943#c0 Summary: rpm does not automatically calculate ocaml dependencies Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Development AssignedTo: pth@novell.com ReportedBy: ampsaltis@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 RPM (as of at least version 4.8.0) is capable of providing automatically generating provides and requires for ocaml packages. This does not happen in openSUSE 11.3, but works fine in recent Fedora versions and the vanilla RPM within Slackware. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the ocaml-facile SRPM 2. Build the package from the spec file 3. Check the resulting package's "Requires" (rpm -qpR) or "Provides" (rpm -qp --provides), or just the rpm build output Actual Results: No mention of ocaml in the "Requires" or "Provides" of the output RPM. Expected Results: A bunch of Requires and Provides related to OCaml libraries Currently, the ocaml-facile package does not depend on OCaml. None of the Fedora spec files I have looked at explicitly mention ocaml as a dependency in the "Requires", yet multiple mentions of OCaml modules show up in the completed packages. This also appears to happen with local builds (using osc build) using Factory, and within the build service itself. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
