I have an IBM Thinkpad R51e with a fresh install of 11.3 plus KDE 4.5 
stable - after I figured out to use "nodemodeset", the system at first seemed
to run stable, but then it started ending my session at seemingly arbitrary 
times.  In the log I found:

I've looked through Xorg.0.log, but I don't see much that could hint at 
a reason for the above.

I'm unfamiliar with reporting problems in this area, please let me know what
sort of diagnostics you need.
