https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=645684 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=645684#c0 Summary: Non-existing packages in baselibs.conf should make the build fail Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vuntz@novell.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- If baselibs.conf mentions a package that doesn't exist, the build will happily continue and succeed. However, people often forget to rename packages in baselibs.conf when they are renamed in the spec file, especially with the shared library policy that causes name changes a bit more often than in the past. So we probably have many baselibs.conf that are wrong and that should get fixed. The right thing, imho, is to just make the build fail so people know they have to fix baselibs.conf. I'm not 100% sure that this should be filed against the build service or something else, so if the part handling baselibs.conf is not from the build service, please move the bug :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
