Some things have changed until now.

Xorg.0.log here: http://pastebin.org/113823

As you can see, I am currently running unter radeon, still in an 1024x769
mode. I tried the radeonhd driver and when he finally runned as I wanted him to
be, I encountered some massive xorg-Problems: The x server crashed several
times during a session and restarted. There was no obvious reason for that
since it happened in different situations like starting a new app, opening a
tab in Firefox etc.

And then X denied to start at all, telling me that radeonhd currently does not
support kernel-mode-setting.

I will try to deliver a xorg.0.log for both described cases.

Any help appreciated.
