https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643963 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643963#c0 Summary: Groupwise Messenger 2.2 Reports 'BadWindow (invalid Window paramerter)' Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: joharmon@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Groupwise messenger 2.1 worked fine. GW Messenger 2.2 started reporting the following when trying to start: ERROR: /opt/novell/messenger/client/run-messenger The program '<unknown>' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 932 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) WORKAROUND: I have found that if I start pidgeon, then most (not all) of the time I can then login to GW messenger just fine and it will likely be stable for the rest of the day. Again, this appears to be unique to messenger 2.2 as 2.1 worked fine and without issue. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
