Freezes came back after upgrading to kernel 2.6.34.7-21, so I switched to the
newest one from the update repo (2.6.34.7-0.3.1) which works well so far.
However, I am still experiencing freezes when i use a GPU temperature monitor.
I can confirm that reloading or reinstalling the nvidia driver does help
sometimes, though not always. In cases when it does help, even temperature
monitoring doesn't affect the system anymore.
Maybe I'll try out the new kernel 2.6.34.7-22-1 from
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/openSUSE-11.3/openSUSE_11.3/
later on, to see if the freezes are fixed again in that one.
