https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643277 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643277#c0 Summary: Yast2: Unstable user announcement (manager) by starting the system after some operations Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: esddss@t-online.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 SUSE/3.6.10-0.3.1 Firefox/3.6.10 I performed following tests with two computers (x86_64 and i386), GNOME user-face: In the user and group management I register two users: A first user and a second user with their user names. That works correctly. 1. I do some operations (so like try to copy data from the first user with the second user or create a folder) without user rights (typically user application error!). Then I install (with fstab and the folder 'floppy' in the folder 'media') and mount the floppy-disk with the first user without problems. After changing to the second user I try to unmount the floppy, this fails correctly. But: I restart the system and get after announcement and log-in as the second user an alert: 'Can't update ICAuthority (second user)'. The system starts with delay, but the user management and the contact manager 'Evolution' are damaged! 2. The same result I got with installing the NFS-Client, this bug was already reported. 3. The same result after building a boot-cd with grub according to the help-system of Yast2. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Actual Results: I restart the system and get after announcement and log-in as the second user an alert: 'Can't update ICAuthority (second user)'. The system starts with delay, but the user management and the contact manager 'Evolution' are damaged! Expected Results: A correct log-in in the system after announcement of the second user without this alert! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
