I did some test with different keyboard layouts chosen at installation.
In my virtual machine, i installed several opensuse 11.3:
- 2 times german language and german keyboard
- 2 times english language and english keyboard
Now, the result testing vncserver is:
- english to english system works fine
- english to german system works fine
- german to english does NOT work
- german to german does not work
I also tried a connection from my windows system (german keyboard) with thight
vnc version 1.3.10. This did neither work with a german suse nor with the
english suse.
