Sorry, I forgot to mention that I stopped the application with Crtl-C, because
the trace repeated the timeout message.

Without the strace kgpg wrote the one-line console message:

"Connecting to deprecated signal
QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)"

and then nothing visibly happened, but kgpg never terminated.
