Especially as you get "duplicates" between /opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/klipper.desktop and /opt/kde3/share/apps/kicker/applets/klipper.desktop This surely doesn't need to be translated twice (and kept in the file twice). And no matter what algorithm we choose, the main problem is that it needs to be kept in sync - a small C library could solve _that_ I assume.
