http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=623244 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=623244#c0 Summary: repository initialization fails without explanation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: grabner@icg.tu-graz.ac.at QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100626 SUSE/3.6.6-1.2 Firefox/3.6.6 Under certain conditions, when starting the YaST2 software manager, a warning window pops up with the message "There was an error in the repository initialization." (see attachment). This message by itself is a bug since it doesn't provide any information on what caused the problem and how to fix it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: On my system, this message appears every time I start the software manager. However, due to the lack of detail in this message, I can't provide more information on what is wrong with my repositories and how to reproduce it on other systems. I just did an upgrade from openSUSE-11.2 to openSUSE-11.3, which is most likely somehow related to the problem. Actual Results: The user is informed that something went wrong. Expected Results: The user should be informed what exactly went wrong (at least which repository caused the error) and what can be done to fix the problem. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
