--- Comment #9 from Ricardo Cruz 2010-07-17 16:20:05 UTC ---
Thomas, the reporter (a gnome user) is getting the following error message when
starting yast2: "Couldn't load plug-in gtk"
She does have the yast2-gtk package installed, and /etc/sysconfig/yast2
WANTED_GUI is set to "auto" anyhow.
I said in comment 6 this was an ABI mismatch. But that does sound unlikely for
an opensuse build (there were only cases of that for updates), and now I
realize it would have meant a segmentation fault, right?
(the loader would not be able to map some symbols for whatever API changed, but
"createUI()" would be intact. Indeed looking at the libpy2gtk.so.2 in the
hexeditor, from the 11.3 64-bit package of yast2-gtk, I can see the symbol
coincides with the one from YUILoader.cc)
Any ideas?
Ilya, try changing WANTED_GUI from /etc/sysconfig/yast2 and tell us what works.
Also try to re-install yast2-gtk.
