News: Today I did try it with last Live DVD(last openSUSE-EDU)(did it by
Hybrid-
ISO dump to usbstick before).
So it`s working fine. I think, so you don´t need the installer system
logs.
It seems to be a problem of auto configured overlapping partition for
default persistent mode(cow system). After starting from flash disk the
system searches for usb devices and free space(may be existing partintions
too) for persistent storage mode and tries to create such a extra partition.
Can`t Yast Live installer such things handle?
It would be a good idea to describe how to switch off persistent mode
on top of all live CDs.
I saw a new bugzilla entry with hybrid="true" or hybridpersistent="true" (and
"clic" flag/switch which I should try now.
Don`t forget, many netbooks and other small systems don`t have CD/DVD so
good flash stick support is/will become really important ;-)
