http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=623190 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=623190#c0 Summary: resolv.conf stays empty Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kkaempf@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Blocker: --- After zypper dup from RC2 to final and a fresh reboot, I was unable to browse the web. Entering the IP address of the router worked, so network itself was fine but name resolution broken. A quick "cat /etc/resolv.conf" revealed # Generated by NetworkManager (just a single comment line) However, there was a '/etc/resolv.conf.netconfig' file with the correct content. I copied this file to /etc/resolv.conf and network seems to fully work again. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
