Is your Windows 7 a production system? If yes, please be careful with
following, or even only wait, hopefully I will have access to Windows 7
tomorrow. I can't do any Windows support ;-).
If you won't wait, please use
bcdedit /export C:\SAVEDBCD
to backup your bcd file. You can use
bcdedit /import C:\SAVEBCD
to restore settings later.
Then please try command
bcdedit /create /d "test_entry" /application bootsector
which instlux uses internally to create boot loader entry. What's the error
message?
If there isn't any, you can
bcdedit /enum
to see if the test_entry was really successfully added and then
bcdedit /delete identifier
to delete the entry you have previously created.
