--- Comment #9 from Jean Delvare
The both isadump-commands gets all ffh back.
Oops, my bad. I forgot that the configuration register space needs to be unlocked before it can be accessed. Please try instead: $ isadump -k 0x87,0x01,0x55,0x55 0x2e 0x2f 7 or $ isadump -k 0x87,0x01,0x55,0x55 0x4e 0x4f 7
But here is new problem: If here is a setting not correct - e.g. the Fan_min to high - an I get a ALARM, I can the sound not turn of with a correct value in sensor3.conf and a sensors -s. I can the sound only turn of with a reboot of the computer.
This is expected. In order to stop the beeping, you must clear the alarm flags, and this is done by _reading_ from the chip, not by writing to it. So, after changing the limits in the configuration file, and running "sensors -s", you must run "sensors" again. If the alarm condition is gone, the beeping will stop. Note that you can also disable beeping altogether, using the in0_beep, temp1_beep and fan1_beep sysfs files. libsensors doesn't support this feature yet. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
