I am currently designing a device integrating an TUSB3410, which is a USB-serial converter of Texas Instruments. The driver for linux is fully functional but it doesnt work by default because it is placed on the wrong place. Many other USB devices like routers uses interfaces like this. The description of the same problem and the solution is found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-979460.html solution: cp /lib/firmware/$(uname -r)/ti_3410.fw /lib/firmware/ti_usb-3410.bin Please fix this issue for future realeases, this kind of converters should be working by default. (didnt tested it on newer opensuses) cheers Diego Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plug a TUSB3410 base USB device 2.read dmesg output and see the errors 3.
