--- Comment #16 from Donald Harter 2010-06-12 17:06:39 UTC ---
I have got nepomukserverrc with virtuoso working again.
I had to upgrade some kde and qt packages to install the virtuoso-backend.
Then it took me a while to stop the sesame2 backend and start te virtuoso
backend.
The virtuoso backend kept crashing. I don't remember the exact order of
commands.
But you have to change nepomukserverrc to virtuoso often.
Belows the apps subdirectory in nepomuk, I removed the sesame2 directory
kde4/share/apps/nepomuk/repository/main/data/virtuosobackend>
I would have to remove the lock file for virtuoso.
Also virtuoso might be running as a process so I killed that.
I left the index data in the index directory alone.
kde4/share/apps/nepomuk/repository/main/index
I will attach a list of my kde,qt, and virtuoso package versions.
When it crashed earlier after the upgrade perhaps I did not perform the proper
complicated process to move to the virtuoso backend.
Here are some of the last commands that I used.
rm *.lck
rm -rf ../sesame2*
qdbus org.kde.NepomukServer /nepomukserver org.kde.NepomukServer.quit
cp /tmp/nepo nepomukserverrc
nepomukserver 2> /tmp/nepomuk.stderr
less /tmp/nepomuk.stderr
You might have to try more than once to succeed. Look at the logfile in
~/.kde4/share/apps/nepomuk/repository/main/data/virtuosobackend and for any
crash files in the directory above that. You can also tell if it failed by
looking at nepomukserverrc. It will change the backend to sesame2.
