I just looked at the code: to check if there's a major upgrade, we do:
zypp::parser::ProductFileReader::scanDir (zypp::functor::getAll
(std::back_inserter (result)), "/etc/products.d")
and then more fun.
See backend_get_distro_upgrades_thread() in backends/zypp/pk-backend-zypp.cpp.
However, I don't know if we have anything in our infrastructure that will
install a new file in /etc/products.d to detect a major upgrade there.
Zypp friends, do you know how this works?
