Summary: Repository specific packaging files not working for
DEB based repositories
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE.org
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: BuildService
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: stefan.becker@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: adrian@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
Blocker: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9)
Gecko/20100330 Fedora/3.5.9-2.fc12 Firefox/3.5.9
For my package (pidgin-sipe) I want to add an optional build requirement that
can't be fulfilled on all distributions. For RPM based repos this is not a
problem, because you can use flagging in the SPEC file. But how to handle this
case for DEB based repos?
I learned that RPM based repos support repo-specific SPEC files, e.g.
pidgin-sipe.spec (default)
pidgin-sipe_RHEL5.spec (RHEL5 specific version)
So I tried this:
debian.control
pidgin-sipe.dsc
debian_xUbuntu_9.10.control
pidgin-sipe_xUbuntu_9.10.dsc
But the build log for xUbuntu_9.10 shows:
build35 started "build pidgin-sipe.dsc"
So it didn't work :-(
Did I do something wrong or is the support for repo-specific Debian packaging
files missing? If the latter is the case, could this be added?
Reproducible: Always
