Dear Marius,
"Write generic Boot Code into MBR" means overwrite MBR by "generic boot code"
In your case configuration of booting is correct:
* Write generic boot code to MBR
* Set boot flag to /dev/sda2
* Install GRUB to Extended partition /dev/sda2 "(hd0,1) (hd0, [your "/"
partition])"
You can read more about how y2-bootloader works here:
http://en.opensuse.org/Bootloader/Scenarios
http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Bootloader_MBR
The bug is invalid.
If you disagree with y2-bootloade proposal you can change it manually but
y2-bootloader always try to propose bootable confinguration for installation it
means change also MBR.
