--- Comment #5 from Ján Kupec
only one thing is probably missing there: explicit notice, that within my terminal output are 3 commands:
zypper -vv patch ## before kupdateapp* removal zypper -vv rm kupdateapp* zypper -vv patch ## after kupdateapp* removal
just take a look at what all changes occur before and after kupdateapplet* removal ..
i am reporting, that after the removal of package $p zypper wants without any reasonable reason install several new packages which have completely nothing with removed packages or with other deps in system after package removal .
Please read again my comment #3. This is because the kupdateapplet update was intended to be installed first. If you replied 'y' there, at the end of the installation it would tell you: "One of installed patches affects the package manager itself. Run this command once more to install any other needed patches.". 'zypper list-patches' would tell you the same. As i said, this is not a bug.
ps. this packages includes also proprietary stuff (AdobeICCProfiles) between all this unwanted stuff ..
I agree *that* looks suspicious. I would need the solver test case to evaluate that. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
