--- Comment #15 from Stephan Dühr 2010-03-01 17:29:23 UTC ---
I want to confirm the problem, although I could not always reproduce. Sometimes
it seems to happen that network is stopped before autofs. I can also confirm
that it works with RUN_PARALLEL="no", but that's not an option.
In my case I'm using NetworkManager, the other reporters did not mention what
kind of network configuration they use.
I think this could be related to bnc#487190 about the same type of problem
regarding smbfs. /etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/smbfs comes with the
samba-client package and is called via
/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/netcontrol_global_hooks
The autofs package comes with /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/autofs but it
does autofs restart no matter if call with up or down. Why?
Shouldn't autofs come with a similar script (
/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/autofs) if it cannot be assured that autofs stop
is run before network stop when RUN_PARALLEL="yes" is set? That way it should
also work when NetworkManager is not used.
