Although I can not confirm it is the same exact bug I did experience this bug
after installing it from the DVD instead of the KDE Live CD-ROM. Also I had the
'strange colors' persist after the log in screen. As in the entire OS was near
unusable due to being nearly unreadable, I resolved this by installing the
official proprietary NVIDIA drivers.
