[Bug 571841] dump/restore version from oss fails when ext4 filesystem is used

I was fallen in the same trap and agree with George that at least the dump
utility have to fail to dump an ext4 file system. It is creepy to get no
errors, see all files and directory restored and to detect later there is only
garbage in the files.
