http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=571546 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=571546#c0 Summary: Akonadi doesn't set up MySQL-tables correctly Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: bugzilla@go4more.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6 When upgrading to KDE 4.4 pre packages (yes, I know they are beta), the migration to Akonadi seems to fail. For the last two weeks I tried to get up Akonadi/KDE running flawlessly, also with setting up a blank user account, to no avail. Only the instructions given in this Ubuntu forum enabled me to get Akonadi running: http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/akonadi-serverprotokoll-fehlerhaft/ This is quite annoying, as a normal user does not even get any information that something is dysfunctional in a core KDE4.4 component like Akonadi. And Akonadi should be, for itself, without any user interaction, be able to set up its database correctly.
