User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.6)
Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6

When ACPI was disabled with acpi=off at boot prompt on my somewhat outdated
PIII board (GA-6va7+), the execution of the boot.clock script fails, so the
boot process will be delayed for about a minute.

When ACPI is enabled, the script will be executed without any problem.

This was not an issue for the previously installed openSuSE 10.3

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.switch off ACPI with the kernel parameter acpi=off at the boot prompt
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Execution of boot.clock script fails and delays the boot process for about a
minute

Expected Results:
Execution of boot.clock script
