Summary: S2ram needs different settings than in default
configuration
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.2
Version: Final
Platform: x86
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Mobile Devices
AssignedTo: mobile-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: dok@xxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
Blocker: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6)
Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6
When suspended to RAM, the notebook locks up on resume.
voyager:~ # s2ram -n
Machine matched entry 86:
sys_vendor = 'ASUSTeK Computer Inc. '
sys_product = 'A6U '
sys_version = ''
bios_version = ''
Fixes: 0x88 VBE_POST VBE_MODE
This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor = "ASUSTeK Computer Inc. "
sys_product = "A6U "
sys_version = "1.0 "
bios_version = "212 "
I can make it work by using:
voyager:~ # s2ram -f -a 1 -m
This works both from X as well as from VT1. Without -m, only suspend from X
works correctly, from the text console, alt-f7 to X is necessary to restore the
display.
Reproducible: Always
