Upon the next boot to that partition, fsck needs to be run or the partition is un-mountable. fsck was able to repair the partition. When re-running the install and allowing it to use an existing partition, the install completed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.During install, select custom partitioning 2.Choose to resize an existing ext3 partition 3.Create new partition in created space 4.Continue Actual Results: Install freezes at 1%. Target partition needs to have fsck run on it to mount. No changes to partitions made. Expected Results: Resize of partition, creation of new partition, installation to complete. DVD install on a Dell studio 15.
